Bounty Voucher Issues?

Greetings,

In Odyssey stacking cargo/delivery missions in a Python I get interdictions with NPC Deadly/Elite Anacondas, Fer de Lances, Mambas etc. Taking them out and turning in the bounty vouchers in the local Admin Contacts I get 800k - 1.2m credits.

Then I switch to Horizons 4.0 and the same type of interdictions I get 10k credits. Just 10k.

OK back to Odyssey and to the better payouts. An NPC Elite Asp Explorer interdicted (which I have never seen this weak a ship interdicting me) paid 430k credits. So anyone started a ticket on this?

UPDATE: No responses for awtile so I submitted an issue tracker ticket for recieving 10k in bounty vouchers when interdicted by NPCs in Horizons 4.0.

Regards

Stumbled over your ticket (while browsing the notorious mission board issues) and left a reply in the issue tracker:

Small bounties also observed in Odysee. Probably not related to Odysee vs Horizons 4.0. Probably working as intended.
There are 2 types of NPCs, some with small, some with large bounties.
(A) There are assassins interfering with the war effort - and those give small bounty vouchers. They often start out clean in Tarach Tor. In this case, you have to (1) wait for them to shoot first AND (2) have crime reporting active, so they become wanted when they start shooting at you. And when you destroy them, you get e.g. 300 Credits for a deadly Anaconda. They can get into fights with the system authority - and then their bounty can go up to the observed ~10k credits. Most of the NPCs in Tarach Tor seem to be of the small bounty assassin type.
(B) In addition to these Assassins with small bounties there are also some ordinary pirates with large bounties. You can tell the difference by their talk on the comms panel.

Very good explanation, and it for exactly those reasons that the I.N.T.R.A. bounty claim statistics (in which @Hooplah may be interested...) discards them:
  • We were well aware of the 10000 observation, though not the specific offence which causes it. Attacking system security seems plausible enough.
  • The occasional 100, which can appear alone or in addition to the above and can be applied multiple times, is a simple Assault offence.
More specifically, they are discarded because they are independent of starship and rank, and they are a special case which would pollute the expected values of targets found naturally at a RES or a CNB.
