Boxing animals?!?!

Hey guys, so I stopped doing Lemurs because of all the bloody boxing haha! However just created a lovely little Macaque Exhibit and now the same thing is happening to them even though they are 99% welfare! So confused? Not getting any alerts, this happening to anyone else with these critters?

Yeah, it seems like any of the simians do this. Especially when/if you place items in their enclosure. It is annoying.

All the small animals have this problem. Lemurs, Pangolins, Red Pandas, small "monkeys" (yeah i'll get hate for that one sorry don't know the right way to say it), etc.

I have the same problem. It’s with almost every small animal and most often happens when they are climbing (nowhere near the fence) and when I place items into the enclosure. It’s really annoying!

I deleted a tree in a habitat a bit ago and the moment I did animals in THREE different habitats suddenly got boxed up. Even stranger one of them was a Bengal Tiger!

You sadly have to watch them like a hawk to figure out where it's happening at in order to solve the problem. I got my lemur habitat with an elaborate tree house in working order(no more crates) but it took some time troubleshooting the thing. Most of the time it's because the climbing structures aren't perfectly set up & need a little tweaking. It could also be caused from climbing on scenery & they glitch out transferring between objects/ground. So yeah, the only way to find out & fix it is to just follow them until it happens. It is definitely be frustrating!

Started happening to me with gorillas now.. Trying to fix it..

Yes I feel like I've cracked the bug yesterday, I finally got it to stop happing for my gorilla's and Macaque's by simply adding more and more climbing frames! Although the enclosures were bigger than they needed to be it kept saying not em ugh space until enough climbing space was added :D

I guess it has something to do with the calculation of the climbable area inside an enclosure. Sometimes if you place a new climbable object inside the enclosure, you can see the climbable area needs a few seconds to calculated the new value and in the heat map you can see how the new climbable grid gets updated. That's why the animals who are climbing or are near a climbable object get boxed top prevent further bugs or glitches.

Aye, shame they don't give you a sec to fix it, or allow the climbable/traversable space to update in pause mode haha, before rapid boxing ensues. :p

Even if that is the case, it shouldn't be happening to animals in OTHER habitats.

Yup, anything too close to the enclosure door makes the animal stuck in a box, having realised this, i tend to leave a nice open space in enclosure where this problem occurs until it no longer occurs.

Having the same issue in Career Mode. The game will box up my lemurs for no reason -- red and grey. Have not seen it happen -- yet -- for the other monkeys. But, never-the-less, it is downright annoying.

I think I cracked it as I managed to stop them being box, basically make them more climbing frames until they're happy!
