Boxing issue

Hi guys!

Anyone else trying to make a fantastic lemur habitat and find they keep getting boxed up for no reason? I'm watching them as i build/improve the habitat however I'm not seeing any reason at all, they just keep popping into boxes! :/

This happened a lot in the beta as well with my lemurs. Haven't rebuilt my lemur habitat, so I can't test it out, but it happened the most when I was moving stuff around or if they got stuck somewhere.

This happened quite a bit in the second tutorial scenario when you're playing in the primate zoo. I didn't really touch any of the prebuilt habitats yet the lemurs, monkeys, and apes were constantly getting boxed up

Tis a shame but reporting it on the forums should raise awareness :)

On a side note, anyone having issues with the wooden feed platforms not being filled?

Having the same issue. I reported it on their issue tracker. Hopefully this gets resolved. I'm a bit frustrated this wasn't resolved after they got this feedback during the beta.

Yes is happend in the second campain a lot as explained... I added one more plant for example in the habitat and in a corner where the apes weren't running around at that point... they were climbing... but still after putting down the new tree, ALL apes got boxed up. I can reproduce it every time I change just a little tiny thing in the habitat.

Sorry, I wasn't clear. I meant to say I wasn't putting anything in their habitat/touching it at all, and when moving around the camera I still noticed them occasionally just randomly boxed up by the gate.

So placing stuff in their habitat is definitely a cause, but they also just seem bugged out in general?

Sounds like it 😕... for me it was strange they box up even when my change (with the new tree) isn't even close to them. I understand it when they climb and I change something there, but it shouldn't happen in a corner where actually no ape is running around - makes no sense.

When playing scenario had this problem as well... for random animals.
Had this same issue in the Beta with Lemurs and mandrills. Everytime you open the game or in the first 10 minutes.

Not a game-breaking bug but still annoying.

it seems that its the game overly sensitive way of resetting an enclosure if anything has happened in the code behind the graphics that changes something. This could be a new item added, an existing item placed, an animal getting stuck etc. Default is just box them all up.
I created a chimp enclosure on 2nd tutorial and i was getting it every 2 mins, sometimes appearing random, but usually after i added or changed something

I also have animals that are being boxed up randomly. I only notice them because the game notices me that there is an animal boxed up too long.

Primates are the ones boxing themselves up. It has yet to happen to any other animal. But, the two primates, lemurs and bonobos, I have to unbox a lot.

I found this a lot with my climbing primates as well. I also noticed that my Chimps were being boxed a lot, and setting off alarms when they sat on a climbable object which was higher than the highest fence. Also seemed to box them every time I added/removed something from the habitat as well. Has anyone got a ticket open for this?

Just wanted to provide a quick update on this:
Hey all! Thanks for your feedback on this. Just wanted to let you know that we're finalising an update right now which we aim to have out this week. This update will include automatic unboxing when an animal has been boxed by the game, but the unboxing will only happen when the animal is safe! Once this update has been released, please come back to this thread and continue giving your feedback on this issue! :)
