As the title states, the current brachiation climbing frames are not good for the welfare of the Siamangs. Looking at a Siamang husbandry guide for the Australasian Society of Zoo Keeping, “Metal should not be used for modes of brachiation as frostbite, burn or slippage could result." https://aszk.org.au/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/Mammals.-Siamang-2008RR.pdf Unfortunately, the only frames that we have for brachiation violate these standards, and from the standpoint of realism, would be dangerous for the animals. I believe it would be a good idea to at least offer an alternative climbing frame (with the same models, just different textures of course,) that would be more in line with the safety of these beautiful animals. I am currently working on a YouTube video outlining how to build realistic habitats, and found this in my research. I hope that in time Planet Zoo adds new climbing frames that would be safer for the Siamangs.
