Brand new GTX970 jittery now.

Hi all, upgraded my GPU from my venerable 7970 to a GTX 970 and Elite is now jittery. Not the more common judder when turning your head but the small vertical jitters every second or so.

Did not have this happen with my 7970, which was rocksteady.

Anyone else have jittering problems? Cos if I can't find a fix for it, back to the AMD card for me.

No problems here with a EVGA 970 SC. smooth 60fps vsync at 2560x1440. Get the occasional stutter as if it's loading something, but very rare.

I did update the firmware today and have the latest 344.65 drivers. No noticeable difference from 344.60

Sorry I should have clarified - the jitter is only in the DK2 with the latest drivers. It doesn't matter if i use the 0.4.2 or 0.4.3 dev kit.

Actually the jitter isn't just with Elite it's with everything I try with the DK2, even the desk demo jitters. Definitely looks like a problem with the card + DK2 combo. Dunno if its software or hardware related.

Mine's a Gigabyte Gaming GTX970.

I got exactly the same card on Monday and haven't had any issues. I also have the latest drivers installed and am using 0.4.3. Have you tried 7970 again to rule out any problem with the DK2?

I plugged my powered USB hub into a different port at the back of the computer and that seemed to have fixed the issue for me. No more jitters. I don't know why and not gonna question it too much. So long as it works, I'm happy.

I must say the 970 makes a big difference in smoothness and graphics. I can now crank it all up and it's still smoother. Gonna mess around with 1440p to downsample to the DK2 to see how that looks next.
