Brand new (today) DK2 and Cyber power gaming rig....can't get Oculus to work with E:D

Can Anyone help? I've managed to get the oculus demo "Airdrift" to work,...but when I load E:D I get nothing on the Oculus screen... I am not a dev and new to the higher end so any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

First thing to make sure is that you have updated the OR firmware to the latest 2.12, you have the 0.4.4 SDK installed and you are trying to run the game in Extended Mode.

Without knowing your graphics card/pc specs its hard to say too much else sorry.

I did update the firmware. I have sdk 0.4.4 and runtime 0.4.4 Intel I7-4790K 4.0 ghz 8mb smart cache, 16gb ram, evga geforce 970 ftw acx 2.0 4.0 gb Is there a setting in game to activate the OR or is it supposed to auto detect?

Ok.. I had to open up the nvidia control panel and rotate the screen 90 degrees. I manage to get a picture of E:D on the rift while the monitor stays on windows. BUT the rift picture is messed up...it almost seems as if the images are being sent to the wrong eye. same thing with my desk top image. but the test image and airdrift seem fine.

Run the Oculus in Extended, but set it to primary, start the game, it may appear on your secondary screen. Go into graphics options and select Oculus for "Stereo" mode... I think... don't have the game in front of me.

got it working......AWESOME!!!!!

Something that's helped me avoid issues and maintain a constant frame rate is what I read somewhere about pulling up the nvidia control panel with the monitor configurations, then starting the elite launcher. Center both on your primary monitor, then turn off all monitors except the rift. Close one of your eyes and click on play, and it will start up normally on the rift. One of the advantages to this method is you're assured, if possible, your rift will hit 75 Hz, plus you spare your graphics card the cycles for updating your other monitors. When you're done, you just turn off the rift with the button on the top right, and your regular monitors pop back on. This will also save you a couple cents on your electric bill, lol.

As a bonus, Nvidia remembers your preference, so whenever you turn on the rift, it will shut off your other two monitors. Of course you can change this is the future, but at the moment it's going great for me.

EDIT: Nvidia's new driver seems to have broken this functionality.
