Hey all! I picked up ED earlier this week and along with a Thrustmaster T16000M, both fantastic products! However, there is one little oddity about my T16000m; the lower grip where my hand rests on has some space for sideways movement. It's just about 3 degrees forward tops and it really doesn't move much if any at all during gameplay, but I'm wondering if it's supposed to be like that and if it's any reason for worry it might get worse in the future. This is my first joystick ever, so I thought I'd ask if this is normal/acceptable.
Honestly, I'm not bothered by the movement on it as it is right now, but if this is a known problem that gets worse I'd rather RMA it on time 'cause I can't afford having to buy a new one later down the road.
I've tried to tighten the screw on it, but it's all the way in already and it's not built so that the grip itself could even move around the screw that goes in it. It's built in such a way that the screw is supposed to push the grip onto the joystick, and it seems the screw actually doesn't end up in a precise-fit tunnel/cylinder.
Should you own this joystick, could you tell me what it's like for you?
1) Said lower grip.
2) Can rotate horizontally 4~ degrees back and forth along the stick's vertical axis. EDIT:Okay, it can only move forwards 3 degrees from center position. lol I wasn't home when I wrote this, and apparently I remembered it as being worse.
The stick itself is working marvelously, really, so if you folks here on the forums say it's no biggie I'll just keep the joystick since it works absolutely fine in every other way. A real game-changer.
Cheers!
Post edited, seems it's not as bad as I remembered. I feel bad now for the bad advertising, since this thing works so great... :\ Still curious about other users' experience though.
