So I was in Potriti robbing people left and right. Also culling the viper bounty hunter population a bit because they are just a pain in the ass. Was surprised how many people manned up and put up a decent fight. Kill count reached like 30 (people just don't like scans I guess 
)... Then this valiant bounty hunter in viper jumped me. After wrecking so many of them I wasn't even thinking that much and just went for it. Well this guy actually knew how to manuever and apparently wasn't in combat for the first time. After a few adrenaline moments my hull was sitting at 40%, the canopy had so many cracks it looked like a badly drawn galaxy map and my weaponry started malfuctioning. Viper still flying at 100% hull and one half ring of shields assaulting me like a boss. Well this is over, I told to myself as I was pondering the trader career. My bounty here was so astronomical that I would end up with 1000 cr and a bigass loan as a bonus. There is no escape from viper... certainly not in this now flying wreck. I lined up the last shot from my twin rails hoping they would work this time.
If there is a pirate god he was there with me in the cockpit at that moment. A massive jackpot hit resulting in Viper going to 65% and apparently losing some vital system because he quickly turned off his manmode and boosted + ftl away.
So just a nice little story and maybe a plea to you bounty hunters to lift your ass from nav points and do some real bounty hunting for a change Thumbs up to the brave viper.
