Seconding this - I'm seeing a few people be caught out by it. Always be wary of a Discord offering you QR codes, it's a favourite tool for people trying to steal Discord accounts. 2 Factor Authentication is highly advised if you're precious about your Discord identity.

EDIT: And remember, the reason why this phone based QR code method is being specifically used by the attacker, is because it bypasses 2 factor authentication. I suppose it's a good reason not to have Discord installed on your phone (I uninstalled it years ago, though not because of the QR code hack).
