Breeding huge animals, how ?

Not sure if anyone can help me with this. I want to breed a huge Asian small clawed otter so that it can pass for An african clawless otter (more or less). I know the basics of genetics so I can breed 100 percent size animals. But even these otters are not big enough. However on occasion you sometimes get really huge animals, weird enough these often have really bad stats. So is there a way to make such animals more likely. Anything I should be looking for in the genes for breeding?

The size of the animal won't change. They will all look alike. The only time they change is when they get to the adult age and are no longer juveniles. As long as you have 1 female and 1 male they will breed when they breed, more or less.

I've tried aswell to get bigger otters to make them look similar to the African clawless or similar but I just couldn't find a good size match considering how small the Asian small clawed otters are. I found either 2 routes to solve this for African otters - one is the modding route and get a river otter which are much larger than Asian ones but smaller than the giant. The second route which is what I tend to go for is use the giant otter for a substitute for the spotted necked otter

As far as I can tell, 100% in Frontier is not 'the biggest example of the animal known' but the 'normal' average size of the animal in most cases. I'd have liked to see that 100% is actually larger than average and/or for us to see some more variation in sizes than we do.

Also, spotted river otters are cute, tiny little guys and giant river otters are nighmare fuel. Can't imagine switching one for the other.

Genetics are weird in Planet zoo. I once had a giant sable antelope which made all the other members of the herd look ridiculous. And that animal had only 30 percent size gene.
