You have to love his optimism.

The reality is, ruling classes run this society they run every society.

Always have, always will.

Because....

We need government. The people can't govern themselves.

Also, not sure why this couldn't have gone into the main thread.

Just saying.

Interesting take on equating the "Left" with authoritarianism. Typically that's in firm right wing territory. Honestly, that's where he misses the point. I know decent people who see themselves on either side of that political spectrum. The issue, and he touches on it, is the loss of sovereignty and democratic representation to business elites and wealthy, private families. It's the quiet coup from democratic republics to plutocracies (similar to how the UK calls itself a kingdom and yet legislative, executive and judicial rights and obligations are are clearly not in the hands of royalty). As to pros and cons of BRexit, I'll be curious to see how it develops.

Some things are true in what he says. In France too, we must often feel guilty and apologize for our past and for what we are. It's unbearable

Everyone says something true. But the guy is an example of an angry reaction against the establishment. Much like many were back in the 60s and 70s when they claimed that Marx, Engles, Lenin, Mao Tse Tung, Che Guevara, and so on were heros of the workers.

It's kinda interesting that the same young people who then wore dirty clothing and called their parents (who'd fought against Hitler and the Imperial Japan in WW2), capitalist pigs, became the suited conformists supporting Thatcher, Reagan, Bush and Blair. (And others of non-Anglio countries).

It's called growing up.

This fellow is just the latest incarnation of the angry young man. Eventually he will become the subject of the next generation of angry, loud-mouth rebels.

That's the Western way. That's why Western civilisation is and will always be supreme and all others slowly merging into ours.

There are true things in what you say

:p

Some good points.

I voted leave simply because Islam is totally incompatible with modern day western society.
Now hopefully all those muslims in the UK that promote their sadistic way of life will go back to their stone age country and leave us alone.
I don't care if jobs will be lost.
I don't care if prices rise.
I don't care if there is less opportunity.

Britain now has a chance to be great again. A chance for British people to lead a normal traditional British way of life.
And for all those people who think I am a racist, I served many years in the armed forces protecting our country.
How many muslims come to the UK and join the armed forces to protect it? Zero!

Happy Armed Forces day!

Muslim is faith, not race based so while your form of discrimination may fall under the term bigotry, it isn't exactly racism. As for Brittish Muslims in the military, they have a fairly long service history.

You may well have served in the armed forces but clearly you are not all that well informed of who else served with you.

Yes, Britain was once great and powerful. Would you care to explain what made Britain great, in the first place?
