Brighter Paintjobs > Darker Decals

We all know that decals can be different depending on the painjob applied. While we can switch the shipname and ID between white, gray and black - the rank and other decals cannot really fit certain paintjobs. I'm thinking mostly about the paintjobs that are bright - I look at you, Gutamaya ships - rendering the majority of decals barely visible.

Dear FDev, could you make the dark decals for the paintjobs that are actually too bright for white decals? I'm speaking about default Gutamaya paintjobs, default Krait Mk II one and Vibrant Yellow and Tactical White ones.

TBH,

decals as they are now are mostly scam.
while on an Asp, a decal is bigger then the cockpit, and the Ship Name and ID can be seen clearly -

on the Mamba, everything is Tiny and placed in questionable places

any other game i had played, had free decal placement and scaling. something FDEV should really consider implementing.

but on topic:
its worth reporting that as a bug.

Most decals have 3 color masks. only a handfull of paintjobs result in a non-monochromatic decal (eg. tactical paints and the horus pack result in multi colored decals)

so it should be ZERO effort from FDEV to auto-apply a high-contrast color to the decal for any paintjob out there, even the "white" default ones.

I would like to see GLOSS Black skins, as opposed to the FLAT Midnight Black skins that become available intermittently. I have a ship with a gold skin that under blue-white (star) light shows up a beautiful, glossy black and it looks awesome:
