When paint jobs first came out, NPC ships would use them, leading to far more varied and beautiful traffic around stations, Res Sites, and ground bases. But they don't any more. Why not? It was a great feature, and if there isn't a technical reason not to, you should bring it back.

Sadly i'm out for DW2 axploring atm so i can't confirm it, but NPC's used to have paintjobs long before us and also many we never had. They should have paints!!

On the NPCs forum there is a growing thread about boycotting micro transactions, until something is done about legacy bugs.
NPCs' Cobras had the best ones...
And I'll give some use to all those Cobra's paint jobs that the store has for a ship that only around 3% of the pilots use...
