In what way is it not profitable though? Plenty of people still making stupid money.
No, not by core mining.
You're just trolling
Come to the Galactic Academy and let Doc educate you. He's happy to take people mining. He's a core miner, tells me every opportunity how he's making money hand over fist.
Got a discord/in game name to DM? This old dog is willing to talk to someone to see if there is something new to learn...
Yea, if you can pop more than 6-7 cores per hour and get more than 100t per hour, just let us know
And then, lets see for how much you can sell those 100t
Musgravite? occasionally 700-800k but with really low demand easily filled up by a single commander, then prices get a deep dive
Benitoite, Monazite - same
So? assuming perfect timing in reaching a station with untouched demand one can make 80 millions by selling 100t of core material.
in an ideal situation. Practically one can do like 40-50 millions per hour at best.
I can make 100 millions in the first hour in any single day at Robigo
I can make about the same or a bit more by trading, but it requires doing some research having all the planets properly aligned (read: bgs states)
I can make more than that by doing massacre missions - but those require some preparation like getting allied with the factions in advance
I can make more than that by doing missions in an incursion system by killing scouts and tier 1 and 2 interceptors - sure, it requires some skill, a properly equipped ship and be allied with all the factions. And it does require the incursion to happen in a system with at least 7 factions so one can properly stack missions.
Again, where are those stupid amounts of credits that can be made out of Core mining?
Nowhere to be seen
Core mining basically died when Void Opals stop being sold for 1.6 millions (back then when demand and bulk sale tax was not affecting sell prices)
At this price one could get like 160 millions per hour. Decent, but not stupidly high.
Anyway, rant over.
