Bring my Ship to Me!

Seriously. For a game that expects you to have lots of ships, and be constantly moving all over the place, it's kind of silly that there isn't a method for moving your ship from one system to another. I'm currently trading 130 LY from my Cobra, and it's going to be a good hour round-trip to get my Cobra where I'm trading (so I can switch to bounty hunter missions when I feel like it).

Have a button where you an transfer your ship between stations, increasing the cost for the distance involved, as well as the class of ship that it is, and have it delivered on a "timer."

Boom. Problem solved, and I don't think a single person wouldn't want that feature.

I always carry a few slaves around in the cargo bay, and just yell at them.

"HEY GO GET MY SHIP, IT'S IN NJIKAN, YEAH THE SIDEWINDER, I THINK IT HAS A BLUE PAINTJOB"

Then I eject them from my hold. I figure it's just a matter of time before they show up with it.

This makes sense. I'm guessing the timer would be for however long it would take for the ship you're requesting to travel from where it is stored to where you are located. So if it would take 30mins for you to fly your Cobra MKIII to your location, that's more or less how long it would take the game.

Anything faster than that would be silly and spoil the sense of how big space is.

Not 100% on board with a full-on ship transfer, but the pilot taking a shuttle from one ship location to another for a fee makes sense to me. Larger fees for larger distances... as for any "time out" for travel - it's a game, you pay and just appear at the location you specified seconds later. Transport shuttles accessed via stored ships screen.

Currently it's kind of impossible to realize several things at once in this game, I'd like a local system bounty hunter ship, and a deep space explorer for further out, then a cargo ship, all in different areas so I can explore more systems.

The only larger issue is if you leave known space, there's technically no way to take a shuttle back to another ship without starport around. But that is how it should work in those cases, you're stuck in your ship until you are either destroyed or return safely from deep space exploration.
