British Empire - Powerplay

Revisiting a previous post pre-powerplay, it looks to me like the British Empire is best replicated by the ways of Edmund Mahon.

One, he is Prime Minister, and he is all about trade, which was of course the basis of the British Empire.

Anyone else have any thoughts?

Lol. I am torn between him and the Empire, as the "Royal Familiy" aspect of the empire seems to be kind of British.

There's definitely some strong historical influences in all the major factions. The Alliance always struck me as an analogy of the UN or EU.

Well just like the UN the Alliance can't seem to agree on anything or get anything useful done! (sorry, had to)

- Federation = 'Murica (Liberals = Winters, Conservatives = Hudson)
- Empire = British Empire
- Alliance = European Union (?)
- Independent = "Terrorists"/Rebels, Utopians = Hippies (?) and Science focused faction ("we will advance science no matter the cost" motto)

Watch it, otherwise you get a first class trip to a Utopian 'learning' centre. I hear they show Falcon Crest and Dallas repeats until you recant.

I'm also surprised no one has mentioned sandwiches...either bacon sarnies in the morning or cucumber for afternoon tea.
