Broo's Faction | Hostile Status

Hello Cmdrs

Was gong to unloock Broo Tarquin (I am following this guide) but as I could scan the station I got hostile mark and had to leave as quick as I could.

I was just carrying that stupid tea.
I am fine with all 3 main superpowers.

What am I supposed to do?
Thanks!!!

You need to get the invite from Hera Tani - you'll get it as you get rep there, usually somewhere between rep 3 and rep 4, so engineering one power plant to high G3 should do it.

If you don't have access to Hera Tani yet, then you need to get an invite for her from Liz Ryder.
If you don't have access to Liz Ryder yet, then start by running missions for the Eurybia Blue Mafia (in Eurybia, not their other systems) until they let you take the invite mission

Hostile status is OK. Nothing will attack you. It will be due to your super power. Shouldnt prevent you unlocking anything.
Wanted status means death if you try and dock and get scanned. You can dock while silent running to avoid a scan.

Yeah, there are ahandfull of engineers I have zero use for, but had to unlock them just for the invites.

Hey thanks! I was indeed looking for the entire shopping list.
One question: how can I know how many times I need those materials? I mean every grade requires several rounds. Is there a rule?

For instance beam laser overcharged (5 G) requires zirconium, conductive polymers and modified firmware, one per round each. But how many in total?? 🤔

On average, you would be well advised to have at least 10 each of the necessary mats to get to the next level of engineering for your module. Now, this doesn't mean you will actually need all 10. 10 is just a worst case scenario, especially when going from 4 to 5. Usually though, you might only need 5 to 6 of each mat to complete a level. Now, you might be in luck if you intend to do some engineering during the Christmas season. Apparently, the developers have taken pity on us at this time and have made it possible to get from one level to the next with fewer button mashes.

Thanks! I also don't get why sometimes it is possible to start i.e. upgrading grade 3 even if grade 2 is not completely done...

Hmmm, it has been my experience that you can't actually upgrade your module to the next level before you complete the previous level. Perhaps you are confusing upgrading modules with your engineer rank?

If all the stats are roughly 3/4 done for a given upgrade then the next upgrade becomes available to you. So you don't have to max out the previous level before upgrading to the next.

Mamm, it happened yesterday to me.
I mean, was upgrading cannon (2 G max).

I saw the second-level icon enabled and skipped the last first grade upgrade.

Dont know if I miss sth XD

The engineer's bases are hostile if you don't have an invite, as in OP's case. If you attempt to approach the base, they'll blow you to smithereens long before you get to land. The only hostile that doesn't matter is powerplay hostile that you get when pledged to a different power than who's in charge of the system you're in. that's nothing to do with engineers.
