Looks like Frontier have already got it right

It's a reasonable assumption to make.

And the spectrum of brown dwarfs in ED have appearances that range from the very star-like L-type to the very planet-like Y-type, with T-types in-between. In the real world, the two brown drawfs in the Luhman 16 system are Type L and Type T, so in ED terms, one should have stripes, and the other not.
