Hardware & Technical BT infinity

This is probably a really dumb question but I don't seem able to get a straight answer from BT. Im on a home hub BT infinity top package, the whole kit-kaboodle...what additional costs are involved re on line gaming?

I believe there are non and the above package supports it! Im doubtful; however I wont be on-line with ED much due to work but the last time I played on line (Eve) on my old standard package I got a 'gaming' statement saying I went over my bandwidth?

Firstly I was curious with Eve, so don't judge me, it was a regrettable encounter, Eve was shallow and immature, we no longer see each other. Secondly I have no idea about internet packages, I stuck with BT due to family commitments and it serves our purposes so please no advise on alternative packages, but should I expect hidden charges for play? Drop in connection!

Again not too bothered as I may well stick with single player.

Any polite insight much appreciated.

Im on BT infinity top package. this means unlimited data usage aswell as 75mb downloads speeds with upto 20mb upload speeds.

what some people forget is how many devices are connected to their internet connection at home. so if you have kids playing on a home console downloading demos that will take up a shed load of bandwidth, then you have Tablets, phones. other computers. people watching youtube videos.
it all adds up very quickly. but if you are on the BT infinity package then your fine. i probably download anywhere between 60GB and 200GB a month.

plus there will be no extra hidden cost with running Elite Online as its not a subscription based game.

Daddy cool.

I'll be the only soldier on line, we pull about 60-80 gig on a good day (month).

Thanks for the feedback, just was not certain as BT really did not want to give me solid answer so quietly paranoid this would scupper my dreams of Playing the best game of my youth, that and un wanted looks of derision from misses.

I upgraded to unlimited recently as went over my limit. Was first month with Internet at new flat so had no idea how much internet I used. Used netflix a lot though so using up around 80GB a month. I blame the girlfriend watching too much 90210.

Basically: Make sure you are on an at least unlimited package otherwise you get £30 fines. The ******s.

Our local exchange was meant to be upgraded a few years ago to ADSL2 I think. It got cancelled. This year was meant to be fibre. Cancelled as BT apparently didn't know the geographical restrictions.. perhaps in a fews years they might decided to upgrade us, until then I'll dream of speedy fibre connections.
