Bubble Systems now permit locked!?!?

So, I was looking to try and do some mining but the server disconnects are a real problem at the mo.

However on opening the GalMap i'm seeing a lot of systems suddenly permit locked either in or very close to the Bubble.

Lol, I was just saying on the other thread that someone was about to jump to Raxxla. The server is down to permit lock that system. But, that was suppose to be a joke...

What systems are you referring to? Going to try and log back in. Seems a couple people have had success.

EDIT: I see the attachments now, lol.

Ah, yea, as others have stated. Those are the Pilot Federation systems, iirc, where you start a new game and you get a message telling you that once you dock outside PF space you can't return.

As you've played since early days it's likely you wouldn't have known, and I don't recall seeing those markers on my map when I used to play my other Commander back when Horizons was still paid content, so it's possible I'm either mis-remembering, or they are new-ish.

They have been like that at least since August of last year, maybe a couple months before. Remember wondering how to unlock those systems then realizing they were the noob systems.

Has it been years? Feels like a recent change to me
April 2019. You'd know, if you played ;)

Pilots' Federation District
  • The Pilots' Federation District is a collection of systems designed to offer a regulated area for new Commanders
  • Outfitting in these systems offers a basic level of equipment, and Shipyards offer a range of entry level ships
  • Missions offered in the district are aimed at early stage players
  • These systems are also marked with a special icon in the navigation panel and galaxy map
  • Once players have gained a rank in Combat, Trade or Exploration, they are offered a 'graduation' mission, which directs them out of the district. If they choose to complete this mission, they cannot re-enter any of the district systems.
    • This also means current, experienced players cannot enter any of these systems

Don't be hard on the OP. It's an easy thing to get confused by, esp if like the OP, you've played since Alpha and not reset your save, esp since April 2019 ;)
