Bucket O' Blood Dorney Park

This was a dark ride at Dorney Park in Allentown, PA. It burned on Sept. 28, 1983. I'm trying to make it as accurate as possible based on my memory and a picture of a track layout that was on ebay over several years ago. I'm building a recreation of Dorney Park circa 1982 as well.

I used to love going to Downey Park and wild water kingdom way back in the day. I gotta ask is the Hercules still up and running? Havent been there since the mid 90s, Good times

No, Hercules was torn down and replaced with Hydra. Bucket O' Blood used to be near the Tilt-A-Whirl where the Musik Express is. Musik Express was added 1984 the year after the fire that took out Le Grande Carrousel and Bucket O' Blood.

Wow. A lot of history there. I live by kennywood now but I often miss dorney Park and how nice it was in Allentown. Pittsburgh is ok but I really loved it there. My aunt still owns a hair salon and an advanced hair treatment place there. If only I could convince my wife to move....

Kennywood had a similar ride called Ghost Ship also designed by Bill Tracy but it burned in 1975. They also had Le Cachot another Bill Tracy ride which had different names before 1973, it was razed after 1998, cars went to Bushkill Park and props auctioned off. Bushkill sold the cars after their Haunted Pretzel was destroyed by heavy snows and a flood to a guy in York, PA building a dark ride. Bushkill got other cars and will rebuild the Pretzel.
