Community Event / Creation Buckyball Racing Club present: Mid Week Madness - Musical Science (28th-30th June)

Apologies. When I said 'no race times have been received at race HQ' i meant; none from Bruski. I got times from Edelgard and Raiko.

Having now checked under the race HQ bar stool (Spam folder) I have found two entries from Bruski!

Let the final update commence

Early this morning Boss Nova took to the stage, microphone in hand, to quell the madding crowd as they grew impatient for the much vaunted set from Heavy Metal Truckin'. No one knew where they were. I was busy clearing race HQ when i heard the news. Hastily checking my records I realised that CMDR Bruski had headed back out on course after his unsatisfactory first run in Lazarus, with Heavy Metal Truckin' aboard. But he should have been back by now, where was he?
My comms link fired into life. It was the Fuel Rats, "<-lightspeed->, we've got on of your racers here! Stuck on final appraoch to Piano Ring. We didn't need to use a Wing Beacon, the sound was deafening - even in space!"
A hastily arranged jam session from the remaining band members and a BRC fly past sated the crowds appitite for entertainemnt.

and so to business;
Congratulations to CMDR Kliggish for his win in the Dope class. The first time posted managed to hold off a late late charge from CMDR Raiko.
Congratulations to CMDR Aken B. for his win in the Slick class, despite attempts by an unknown blaggard to fust his FSD with grub glue.

Big thanks to everyone for having a crack at the course, hope you enjoyed it as much as I have.

See ya'll soon.

Not that it matters that much, given the final board, but please check again under the bar stool, you're probably missing a 24:45 from yesterday ;)

Ok ok I admit it, this is just to show off the brand new sig :D

Thanks, LS, for the interesting race. If only real life had been more kind. :(

Unfortunately, almost three weeks of racing have depleted my cash reserves. Plus I want to check up on the freedom fighters I was supporting.

Finally, I'm getting the feeling I'm no longer wanted in this volume of space. For some reason, Bass Terminal has both my Haulers on a "No Admittance" report, the Family Values Council has put a bounty on my head, and the Hornblower Musical Appreciation Society has me on their "Kill on Sight" list.

Until Later, fly safe, commanders. O7

Thanks to lightspeed for staging this race and congratulations to the winners!
It was good to fly my DBS again. Whenever I'm not flying it, I'm worried about the class 3 scoop and the lack of internal space but when I'm actually in the cockpit it is just so much fun! I think I'll leave it unmodded, for now, although I'm one data material away from being able to afford a second grade 5 FSD boost (the first is reserved for my Anaconda, my Asp has one already) and I haven't decided which ship to use it on.

CMDR Bruski swaggers slowly into the bar: "Congrats Kliggish and Aken!... Uh, hello? Is anyone still here?" *a deafening silence fills the empty bar, strewn with detritus from the previous three days of festivities.

"Aw damnation, I musta missed it all. I knew that trying to jump 37 ly in a slick hauler on fumes was a bad idea. Ah well."

*picks up a few half-empty liquor bottles off the floor to drown his sorrows*

Anyways, congrats to Kliggish and Aken B., andd many thanks to Lightspeed for running such a grand concert! Sadly, my attempts to optimize led to trying to scoop an unscoopable star, so my 30min+ times will have to stand. :D

Thanks to all for running, and see you guys at 4001: A Space Oddessy!

A small pile abandoned on a sofa, made of a random collection of empty lavian brandy bottles, used napkins, cocktail umbrellas, festoons and a varied assortment of different female garments, slowly starts moving on itself, only to reveal a dazed cmdr Aken B., struggling to remove himself from under it: "W...whe, what? Time, what time, er*burp* day is it? Is it day? Too much light...aach...cmdr Bruski, is that you? Back in one piece, good, good...is that an half empty bottle of brandy you are holding? Mind to share? Mouth's dry as a rocky RES..."

Thanks lightspeed for the race, plain old "from A to B in a reckless fashion", much appreciated! ;)
