Ship Builds & Load Outs Anaconda Budget Conda builds?

I have an Anaconda, and 120,000,000 creds to spare. Ive already outfitted my Anaconda out a little after about a year of owning it, because I get slaughtered in PvE combat and especially in PvP.

Care to share your "budget" builds? Or even fully engineered/high class builds? Think I need a baseline to where Im going wrong with my builds, especially my hardpoint choice, I don't really know where to start with hardpoints, and what is the most effective for damage and heat and power.

The Conda is really a multi-role ship so it's not as combat focused as the Corvette but it's certainly capable enough for HazRES PVE.

I reckon the big ships need two stage weapon arrays i.e. lasers for shield stripping and kinetic weapons for hull damage, so I'd suggest gimballed efficient beams on the 2 medium + 2 large hardpoints on the top of the hull and fill the rest with fixed MC or cannons.

I prefer bi-weave resistance shield builds but the reinforced hi-cap + heavy duty boosters also works but you'll need to return to the station to recharge them ;)

I don't do PVP but the FDL or Krait mk2 seem to be popular choices

I don't use my Anaconda for intensive PvE, let alone PvP, but I do have a nice setup for mining that costs ~212M CR, or ~76M CR after the purchase price of the Anaconda (assuming no discounts). Most of the engineering is optional, although I would recommend getting a few of the key upgrades (FSD, Shield, Distributor, Thrusters and Power Plant) as they massively increase the performance and survivability of the build. It can hold off the lower ranked NPCs that will spawn and try to steal your stuff, but don't expect it to survive in a Haz Res.

You can use this build to mine painite (it is set up to do both laser and core mining), which can easily make you just under 200M CR in 2 hours or less if you can find a good place to mine and a good place to sell. The money you make can be used to go about rebuilding your Anaconda for actual combat without having any worries about budget constraints.

As for PvP, like Ceekay said you're better off in a medium ship. I haven't flown the FDL, but I can attest that the Krait II is a very fun ship to fly. The FAS and Chieftain are also good PvP ships, not that I have ever flown either of them.

I have a PAXaconda to deliver stuff in Colonia,
it's gank proof and pretty much able to deliver hurt to any NPC I Encounter.

It's 217 Million /11 million rebuy and can be outfitted to other mission roles quite easily.
Instead of the lightweight pacifiers you can use other weapon loadouts too.

The trick is to undersize PP and PD and use D-rated sensors to keep weight and cost down.

Thanks, y’all. This is helpful. Can y’all give a bit of a more detailed explanation, also? I’m a noob, still, and learn slowly. I tend to ask ‘why, though’ ALOT because I -want- to do more than just obey n copy, I want to -understand- what the modules and their numbers (the measurements) mean. That way I have an idea of why things are selected and combined in different ways. Finding non-engineered builds is quite difficult. I can grade 5 an fsd. I have some unlocked engineers but... yeah... I’ve no clue why I’m going to them other than they -do something- for me. I still haven’t figured out what I’m doing in the game.

Engineering can be quite complex especially with shielding as there are several different approaches to shielding fast regen resistance at one end and high capacity slow regen at the other neither is "wrong" they're just down to personal preferences.

Have a look at this section from Inara for info on engineers and the blueprints they provide https://inara.cz/galaxy-engineers/
