BUG: Bounty mission not logging alternative kills target

Dragoon pirate in an Imperial clipper in the Fed core system Wolf 359 offered me an alternative kills target. I've shot down more than the 2 authority ships required but not been credited with any of the kills. Considering the 6,000 CR fine for each one of the three Feds I took down to be certain it wasn't working the 15,000 CR reward offered isn't enough to offset the deficit. Especially when you add in the failed mission fine from the short term mission timer.

I've made a support ticket and hope they come back to me.

From memory you aren't told where to kill Authority vessel's. I think you need to go back and kill authority vessels of the mission giver.

For example: you take a mission in system A to kill Pirates in system B
Pirate offers more credits to kill X number of Authority
If you chose to, kill Authority in system A

Thats my understanding. Apologies if thats what you're saying above.

Well, I've had a similar mission and did't get credit. However, I think the mistake I made was to assume that Allied Police and Federal Security were 'authority' vessels, however the mission specifically asked for Authority vessels and I can only assume that means only System Authority Vessels, ie they specifically have that title. I too got a couple of hefty fines without the benefit of the reward or rep:mad:

I found that you can only kill the system authorities inside USS's for it to register. (I think it's the same for all the mission updates)

And also take care with the assassination missions as if you get the Orca instead of the Anaconda, it won't register for the mission if it's in a anarchy system, as it needs to register wanted and bounty status, so you have to abandon that mission.
