Hello all,
I enclose my visitors instead of the dinos like seen in Jurassic Park. Therefore the dinos basically have the complete island to discover. Instead, they stay near Feeders and Water, which is somewhat logical. But herbivore Feeders are not logical in the first place. Regardless, to counter them getting together near a single Feeder, I placed many Feeders and Water apart from each other in both grasslandy and foresty areas, covering the whole Island. But that brings many problems:
A. Solitude / low population seeking dinos get uncomfortable by idiotically staying with all other dinos near the Feeders and water (affects Ankylosaurus !!! / Triceratops / Torosaurus etc.), instead of only visiting them for food and water and then leaving for the many solitude areas on the whole island.
B. Same species dinos idiotically dont move in herds and randomly spread out to different Feeders and water, therefore losing social needs and going rampage because there are no other relatives nearby E.g. I had 4 Maiasaurus that all spread out to different Feeders, all losing social needs than all going rampage towards my visitors. Comically, they attacked the same spot and attacked together as a herd.
C. Forest seeking dinos dont seek the many foresty areas aound the island. Instead of moving to one of my forest perimeter Feeders they randomly move to a grassland Feeder and then go on a rampage because they dont have a forest near them. The same applies to grassland seeking dinos that randomly go to a forest Feeder. It also applies to water seeking dinos that go to a land-based Feeder and land-based dinos going to a water-based Feeder.
What I want to say is that dinos dont actively seek alternative locations that are more suited to their needs, even if they have plenty of options. But that does not make sense. A solitude seeking dino will naturally / 100% move away from other dinos if he has the chance, a forest (etc.) seeking dino wil go to foresty areas, dinos can shout and will naturally / 100% move in herds etc. But the dinos in JWE are all very dumb and that kills the immersion for me. Plus the Velociraptor destroying a heavy steel fence in a few hits. I have to constantly tranquilize the dinos and move them to their relatives, move them to solitary Feeders, move them to forests, only to see them randomly going back to uncomfortable areas and going on a rampage again afterwards. The speed at which they lose comfort is astronomical, there is no visible information about problem-dinos.
This 'Bug' also applies to larger enclosures E.g. the second island has two seperated enclosures stock. If you combine these two enclusures, there is a high chance that dinos will lose contact to their relatives on the other end of the elongated enclosure and go on a rampage after they quickly lose all their social needs.
In the below picture, I started with 2 measly Feeders apart from each other. The distance is enough for all my Maiasaurus and Parasauropholus to constantly lose their social needs and go on a rampage. The two Dracorex I breeded have also lost each other and additionally lose comfort because there are too many dinos nearby. They have the damn whole part right of the picture availiable for their solitude needs.
