Bug? G-Hull reinforcements malfunction.

Im not sure ive encourntered it outside of AX (aka regular damage and combat) and im not even 100% it's the case (hence the forum post and not a bug report). But i was trying different ships and builds in AX and im pretty sure the lightening attack from an interceptor caused my gaurdian hull reinforcement modules to 'malfunction'. Resulting in my ship going from 100% hull to 50% the first few seconds of an engagement. That or my powerplant malfunctioning halving the output also turned off the gaurdian modules and they dont save there HP state when they power off and on.

Anyone else have more info / encounter similar issues?

Sorry for the off-topic answer. Because engineering hull amplifiers are better in protection and do not consume power, few people use ghrp.

Fair, why i wouldnt be suprised if it was a missed bug. The gaurdian ones are slightly better for AX tho due to special resistances (or atleast having a few). I just had so many as it was an unengineered ship to check out loadouts and combat styles.

As far as I'm aware, a hybrid of engineered HRPs and a GHRP is optimal. Something something maths and wizards

Interesting bug; 50% is a lot to lose though. I might play around with that...

I only know this from hearsay, but since GHRPs consume power, they are definitely susceptible to malfunctions by loss of power. Not sure about the zapping from Thargoids, but this seems plausible, too.

You can combat the zapping from Thargoids with GMRPs, though.
