Bug -- Guardian Module Blueprint Fragment

I do not get the blueprint after scanning the orb.

Details:
  • Odyssey most recent patch, tried both Open and Solo
  • Location: Synuefe NL-N C23-4 --- B 3 --- Guardian Structure
  • Reference guides: CMDRs Toolbox + YouTube guides by D2EA and CMDR Exigeous

What I did:
1) Activate + fully charge all 6 pylons within the time limit
2) Pick-up Guardian Relic and drop it properly over the hole
3) Wait for orb to show up
4) Wait for orb to open
5) Wait for the "Ancient Data Terminal" target to pop into existence right inside of the orb
6) Lock target on "Ancient Data Terminal"
7) Hop into turrent and center view on target
8) Use Data Link Scanner on target -- scan progress bar is visible and does finish -- after that still some time left until orb disappears
9) Exit turret, check info on HUD, but no news about anything collected
10) Check inventory / encoded data / materials, but unfortunately no "Guardian Module Blueprint Fragment" there

I tried this procedure five times, both in open and solo. One round I drove up onto the ramp where the orb is located to scan it from very close distance, all to no avail.

Any suggestions would be welcome!

I had a site finally give me a module fragment in Odyssey, but only on the first activation. Subsequent activation's failed to give me one, so it could be a weird back end issue.
 
In Horizons, you get a module on the first activation. Without relogging, if you pick up another Relic and activate the orb a second time, then you will not get another fragment. Most likely that's by design, because with the second activation you also do not get further Guardian Sentinels.

However, in Horizons, when you drive like 300m away from the site, then logout to the Menu and log back in, then the whole site resets (incl. Guardian sentinels). When you replay the site after such a reset, then you will get another blueprint fragment.
 
I had this happen to me numerous times when I was originally doing the Guardian Module site a couple of years ago. The whole thing was pretty buggy at the time, some of the issues I'd experience were:

- Pylons simply would not pop up out of the ground. Relog and start again.
- Pylons would pop up, but not react to being shot, had to relog and start over before they did. (My friend experienced this one recently)
- All Pylons are up and active within time limit, but game didn't think so. Relog.
- All Pylons are up, active, relic deposited in correct spot, but orb didn't pop up. Relog.
- Orb pops up, but unable to scan it. Sometimes waiting a bit longer - but not too long - would see it wake up and able to be scanned, sometimes not, requiring relog.

I'd say I've done the grind to get five or six more Module Blueprints than I actually have, due to bugs. However, I visited one of the Guardian Weapons blueprint sites a few weeks ago - in Horizons of course - and things went much more smoothly than the last time. Sentinels seemed to have been quite significantly dumbed down - no more groups of them hunting me down - but the whole process worked.

Of course, before trying again you need to relog - great gameplay I know - else things don't work. For me, I've gotten the Blueprint then wandered around the site collecting materials and the pylons stay up and can't be activated again, so reloging is the way to proceed. Drive a short way from the site until you can log off cleanly, without being told you're in danger. Log back in and you'll be in the SRV where you were before, ready to try again with the site reset.

Might be worth trying this is Horizons if you're having trouble, but, as documented above, I've had lots of issues with Guardian sites in the past. Bets of luck, I know how frustrating this can be!

Same issue here.

Odyssey: sentinels don't fire missiles, scanning orb doesnt deliver blueprint (weapon in my case). Tried this at 2 different sites.

Loading Horizons and everything worked fine.
