I recently ran into an issue when trying to team up with a friend that just started the game. We are both on each other's friends list, but were completely unable to contact each other through in-game utilities.
Invite to Wing did not go through. Invite to Voice Communications did not go through.
Direct text returned the error: "Transmission not sent. Unable to connect to CMDR XXXXX."
We also could not find each other physically in game, even after verifying that we were both in the same location over 3rd-party comms.
I verified we were both in Open play, as we both saw other CMDRs in various locations.
Has anyone seen this before? Anyone know what's going on or how to work around this?
Any assistance would be appreciated, as we just want to fly together to get him acclimated to the game.
