bug or feature, failed kill pirate lord mission

Hi

I took a kill pirate lord mission, a mate of mine was nearby so winged up with me to help me kill him, we were both in fighters.

the anaconda soon died, not sure who got the last shot, me, him or some ai in the area.

I got half the bountu as expected, about 110k however I failed the mission.... surely these missions are not blocked from doing in a wing?

has anyone else seen this?

Has anyone done a kill pirate lord mission in a wing &/or with fighters in 2.2? If so did it work?. I dont want to flood support with bug tickets if working as intended

I did several of these pirate lord assassinations in 2.1 with a friend. Buddy and I would each take a few missions, then we'd fly out together and hunt down our targets one-by-one. Had no problems being in a wing, each target counted for the mission holder no matter which of us shot last.

Sounds like you might be experiencing a bug. I'd have support look into it.


Edit: Did you both have the same mission target? I recall one time when it only counted the kill for one of us when we both had the same mission target. However, we found a duplicate of the target in supercruise and just killed him again, which counted for my mission.

thanks for the reply... only i had the mission. I thought i had done these in a wing in the past as well..... if i had to guess, i wonder if it being due to a ship launched fighter getting the kill which has confused it.

I will ticket it.
