Bug or working as Intended?

Can you be damaged in such a way that flight assist breaks? Or an I encountering a bug.

The flight assist wont enable and it seems as if my ship is suffering from some sort of damaged control.

I'm just wondering if its a bug or caused by damage I took while on a toilet break and somebody took me down to 66% hull

Flight assist can, indeed, break as it is a module.

However, most things that break are usually only for a short time at a time so if it break and does not come occasionally back online within a reasonable time then I'd bug it.

It seemed pretty permanent, it wasnt just flight assist broke, super cruise didnt seem to slow, forwards didnt seem to work properly and the ship was in a kind of uncontrollable spin, in the end it caused my death as it was pretty much uncontrollable and I crashed into the space station.

It must be a bug though as I just restarted in a new ship and I now have the opposite problem, I cant turn flight assist off. It could maybe be controller related though so I will have to do more testing.
