Bug Reporting

Hi everyone,

Can someone let me know how I can report bugs to Frontier?

I have a fairly high spec system and certain elements of the game run like crap and i'd really like that resolved in time for full version release.

The game seems to run WORSE when I enable SLI on my x2 nvidia 480 m's. Crashes more and stutters more. Also the map is very bad always. As a premium beta backer, i'd like to make the most of my investment by getting all bugs for my system sorted. Cranking up the graphics doesn't do me any favours either, regardless of SLI status.

This is my spec:

Alienware M18x with x2 1.5GB nvidia 480m GPU's, 32GB RAM, core i7 CPU with x2 SSD's configured to run as a RAID0 volume. The disks max out at 12 gB/s.

The game should run smooth on most graphics settings. Does anyone else have a similar spec? What does it run like for you?

You can also report issues by opening a bug ticket using the game launcher on your desktop.

I forget what the button is, if its not one of the large buttons on the left of the launcher, try clicking on your user email address in red (top right hand corner).

Got an I7 3770k quadcore processor and radeon HD 7870, 16gb ram, windows 7 64bit home premium

Worst bug (apart from crashes) is the game is normally smooth as silk but suddenly stutters badly and is unplayable...It doesnt happen very often and as soon as I hyperspace or supercruise its fine again - then when I drop out into normal space its often juddery again.

I don't have an SLI set up but David did mention in his online chat yesterday that its mostly not supported properly yet.

Paul B:
Hi David, SLI and Cross-Fire are mostly non-functional in ED at present, when could we realistically expect to see this kind of code optimisation?

David Braben:
You're correct. We are just starting to look at optimisations now, and SLI will come too, but once we have the big performance wins first. For performance increases 'soon', for SLI, 'later'... Sorry to be vague.

Hope that Helps
