LostWinds Bug (spoil)

Hey support - I have bought and am currently playing Lostwinds winter of the melodias. I bought it from the wiiware-online-download-page.

I'm at the part of the game, where you just have unlocked the king, and have to get him to follow you to the melodias city. On the way there, I had to go to work, so I saved the game at a statue and turned off my wii.

After work, I turned it back on, and the king was gone. He was standing next to me, when I saved and turned off the wii, but now he is totally gone from the game.
I have been searching and searching for him (I had a theory that he might be back at the start, where I unlocked him), but he is no where to be found.
I thought that maybe he was in the melodias city, so I went there (the green spot on the map), but he wasn't there either.

Does this mean I have to start the game from the beginning again?

Oh yeah. And these really weird invisible walls have begun to show up, so I can't walk around freely in melodias city.

Did you make any old saves you could revert back to at all?

King lost after save game and game quit

I have the same problem with the king. He is lost and I'm not able to find him anywhere.
There aren't any older (before unlocking the king) save games.

Could you provide us with details on which level you lost the King in? Also did you have the game set to summer and had you recently changed seasons while in the area the King was in?

It is possible that you started an area in summer and the King ended up in the water somewhere and activated one of the King save points there. During this you may have got the King out, but changed to winter and then saved. By doing so it is possible that the King is actually stuck in ice somewhere in the level and you need to change it back to summer and enter the water in the level to try and find him.

Might be worth trying If it doesn't work, we can investigate further (providing you give us the details requested above).

I saved the game at the right top of the Summerfalls Ravine with the mushrooms (German: Sommerfall-Schlucht) on my way to the city and it was summer time.
I can't recheck it at this moment, because it isn't my Wii. But I'm quite sure.

I searched the whole level; I went back to the resting place of the king and I was lost upon moving the same way back to the city.

Hi borrible,

One thing we've noticed is it's not possible to get the king to the Summerfalls Ravine with the mushrooms (he can't get up cliffs and such) - are you sure this is where you lost him?

Our Quality Assurance team has suggested if you could go to the area at the very bottom right of the level and swim under the water (depicted in the wonderful camera phone image QA has provided in the link below), does the king appear there?

I'm sorry, the king isn't there. Are there any other "traps" on the route where I could have lost him?

I think I reached the save point without the king because I was in a hurry for saving and quitting the game. I thought he would follow me.
