Bug? Transferring cargo from carrier to ship...

When trying to transfer platinum from my carrier to my Type-9 to haul over to Rhea's, I keep getting a pop-up box with just a red triangle and a dollar sign, with a box to 'CLOSE'. A game pop-up, nothing to do with my PC.

Anyone else??

EDIT: I was able to transfer 10 at a time until the last 7 and then the transfer screen showed 87 still on the carrier and only 50 in my ship! What?? Had to log out and back in to put the numbers back right, every time, until I transferred everything except one, then transferred the single one. What the actual...?

No point bug-reporting if no one else is getting the bug.

Can you buy your platinum from the carrier instead of transferring it? This requires you to have gone into the carrier's settings and put the platinum up for sale. (Usually it's also a good idea to restrict the carrier so that only you can land on it to avoid others taking advantage of the items for sale unless you want others to benefit as well.)

Won’t buying and selling the platinum destroy its mined status making it useless for the CG.

It will not count for the CG, it will lose it's 'mined' status.
Has to be transferred to and from FC.

There are several threads on this with work-arounds for transferring to and from FC. see Active CG threads.

First one sounds a bit like the message you get when your ship hasn't actually fully docked yet so when you go to transfer you get a pop up message - but you said it happened midway through transferring items so can't be the same.
Second issue sounds like the long standing bug where your stuff doesn't doesn't appear in your inventory after buying it. Then you fly off and wonder how the hell you're short of cargo. That is resolved by going into one of the other screens (such as the maintenance one) and then going back into the commodities screen and the cargo will transfer to your inventory. This only happened to me through the buy screen though when you set up orders, not direct transfer so it may be something different but similar.

Now it's fixed I can't recommend strongly enough using the purchase mechanism to move commodities off your FC to your ship.

Set up a sell order fore the relevant commodities @ a stupidly inflated price (you can go to 100x market, you're only paying yourself and if somebody else wishes to dump credits into your account then so be it).
Buying fills your hold sooooo much faster than the miserably slow transfer mechanism.

Unless of course it's for the CG 'cause the buy mechanic will strip that oh so valuable mined flag :cry:
