Bug with Federal Navy progression mission?

Before anyone suggests it: Yes, I submitted a ticket, but the response time for my past tickets has been far too slow, so I wanted to ping the community.

I was doing a little trade route scouting yesterday morning and happened across a federal navy progression mission, assassinate General <name>. I don't recall exactly which station I was at, but I accepted it and then logged off to go to work. After I got home from work I went to the system where it said I could find him (Pellang, I believe) and killed him. The mission now says to go to Regira and turn the mission in to a station that doesn't exist. I went and visited all of the stations in that system that I remembered scouting and none of them would let me turn the mission in. One of them, however, offered me the same mission again, so I accepted it and then immediately went to complete it. This one now also says to turn it in at a station that doesn't exist, but this time I made note of which station issued the mission and went directly back there.

My only theory is that this was one of the systems affected by the name change/faction change. There are a couple of federation aligned factions listed in this system, but they do not control any stations. I'm wondering if these missing stations mentioned in my mission log are the former names? It seems like a bug that I'd get offered a Federal mission from an independent station/faction.

I'm just not sure if there is any way to get credit for these now, and just wondering if anyone else has run into anything like this.

did you try go back to where you got the mnission from? it might just be an erroneous station name?

if iots the mission for lt commander then ive done this one myself and it was pre last patch so I cant remember if I had this same problem with it.. I do know I had this problem once and going back to the original station fixed it..

I don't know if this isn't getting any replies because it's been pushed down a few pages, or if I'm the only one that's run into something like this.
