Bugs or Features?

Sorry, I'm still only a nooblet so I'm not sure with everything that's been going down recently whether or not the things listed below are part of the game or are bugs. I'm currently doing the Empire rep grind between Ngalinn and Mainani (been a tough few days for it). So here we go...

Can't repair or restock
This has started happening since I accepted a few massacre missions, so I'm not sure if that's why? Getting pretty beat up and almost out of point defence and multicannon ammo. Gonna have to stop playing soon since I'm getting pretty low on health as well and my next battle will probably be my last if I can't repair soon. Also can't restock so no collector limpets left to pick up all the tasty mats from my kills. I'm thinking these are bugs because the Livery and Arx store are also red and unavailable, and I can't imagine I've done anything to cause that. Would it help if I sacrificed another goat to RNGesus? I'm running low on them too and would rather keep them for the next time I grind a mats run.

Collector Limpets expire after one pickup
This doesn't happen when mining thank god, but it's making picking up mats a chore. I'm out of limpets since I can't restock and manual pickup is ugghhh. Most mats expire before I can get to them so I'm just grabbing level 4 and 5s.

Massacre missions bugged?
I've killed a bunch of pirates, but the quests are only updating on 3 of my missions. One has 2 kills, one 11 and the other 6. Since they are all pirates from the same faction, shouldn't they all be updating? Or you only get credit for one at a time?

Can't share Massacre Missions with my wingmate. Can't form a Squadron.
Never done this before for squadron missions, but the youtube videos I've watched on it they seem to have no problem. Am I doing something wrong? We can form a wing. We tried both picking up the same missions, but that didn't help. We made a private session that we are in together but that didn't help either.

When the stuff with the mission board were happening, we both kinda went "f**k it. Let's go mining." Might have to do the same if these are bugs. It's so hard to know as a nooblet though.

When your limpet expired, did you have the material targeted.

If so, then you are telling the limpet to gap that item only.

Limpets will only get other items is you target nothing when launching then

Thanks so much for the helpful reply. Yes I was doing that (thought you had to). Know better now though.

repair/restock sounds like you are at an outpost without those facilities. Go to a different station. Highlight station in the system map, and get info on it. It will list the available facilities there.

Massacre missions. far as I know still bugged.

Share the above? don't do them unless someone else confirms they are now working.

Thanks for the replies. So some bugs, some features. Had a feeling that might be the case. Didn't want to make the trek to another station to check for repairs etc though as I just got promoted to Marquis and that Cutter is so close I can taste it. lol

The thing I'm most upset about in all this though is the lack of "together time" I get with my mate in this game. Most of the time I can't even see him on the map. When I do and we are flying together in FSD, when one gets interdicted the fight is usually over before the other can even find the fight to join. We've played everything together from Diablo to Destiny to Elite, but since beginning Elite we are hardly ever even in the same system. Most of the activities are solo, which is why we wanted to try the massacre missions together. Any idea if they will ever get fixed?

(1) not necesarrily a bug, not every station has those facilities. fix? pick a better station
(2) not a bug, allow your limpets to just pick stuff up rather than target them
(3) Not a bug, Mission targets are on a per mission basis & are unique to said mission.
(4) not sure, I mostly play on my own

Once you issue the "Invite to Wing" and your buddy accepts, then you both turn on your wing beacon (right panel under ship i think) then one or both of you can lock to wingmans navlock. Warning if you try to jump to supercruise when navlocked to your buddy you will drop right back into the instance. When highwaking, it is best if the ship with the higher jump range navlocks to the shorter range ship.

In any case, beacon on will help out. Toggle navlock as necessary.

Thanks for that. Decided to just head to a RES and hunt together which worked a bit better. Found some wing massacre missions there and tried them out, but no kills are registering at all. Handed in a bunch of bounties matching the mobs that we killed but not registering for the missions at all. Must be bugged. Bet the rep hit from abandoning them will work perfectly though. :p

Found a great RES system that's Empire controlled - Kunggalerni. Will be slower going for the Empire ranking but at least we'll be having fun together rather than grinding alone. Just started in FDLs and can see what all the hype's been about now. Even when out-gunned you can usually do a Brave Brave Sir Robin and bravely turn and bravely run away.
