Bugs or wrong playing?

Hello dear "zoologists",

have now built a very large zoo and meanwhile unfortunately also powerful problems, which I would like to put here for discussion. There seems to be still many bugs:

-Doctors no longer leave enclosures and remain permanently, whether dismissed or not. No matter what I do, they just don't leave.

-Mechanics suddenly don't do repairs, enclosure walls aren't maintained, and everything else remains unrepaired. In principle, the mechanics run back and forth like crazy, as if they were totally stressed, but their condition says exactly the opposite.

-Animals are no longer being fed and are starving. Keepers go into the enclosure but just stand around typing something on a pad and leave the enclosure again even though the animal is in the deep red area until it finally starves to death if I don't get it into quarantine first.

-Penguins, sea lions escape swimming through the enclosure walls.

-Animals are indicated as escaped but are still in the enclosure. It seems to depend on them climbing something connected to a tree whose branches are close to the enclosure wall.

-Dismissed personnel just stay and do not leave the park.

-Dead animals are not removed.

Everything I have described here is not like this everywhere, but it is in some places in the park. Do you have similar problems or is the problem (me) sitting in front of the monitor? I remember that there have been discussions about some uf this problems. Then with new updates the errors seemed to be gone. And now they are back again. I think I'm going to cut back a bit now, because it's a real shame when you build a beautiful zoo and then have to deal with problems like this. I'm sad about this problems which seemed to be back with newer DLC's like "America". I really, really love this game but not these boring bugs. I hope that Frontier will find out what are the problems and will bring an patch some Day. At the moment I have to stop playing. Thank you all for ideas or help. Thank you Frontier for help.

Hard to say what is the problem. The vets not removing dead animals can happen when they are overworked. So adding more vets may solve it. For staff: did you assign them to a work zone and do you have enough staff? You can try deleting the path underneath staff that is stuck to get rid of them. And can your computer handle the large zoo? Performance decreases when zoos get bigger and i noticed bugs happen more Often.

1. Are you on the current update? Several of these problem were a lot more common before the last two updates.

2. The vets stuck in a habitat bug always happened to me when there was a dead animal in the habitat. If you click on the stuck vet and it says that they've in the process of removing an animal you need to find said dead animal and manually move it out of the habitat (you can use terrain tools or move the habitat boundary). Restart the game with the animal out of the exhibit and the vet should fo back to work.

3. When keepers aren't feeding animals the problem is often that there are other glitched out keepers inside of staff buildings. Try deleting and replacing staff buildings and see if it helps.

4. I haven't encountered the mechanics problem. Are all of the breaking habitats assigned to work zones?

Some of these Problems can be solved by restarting the Game. Also try if it helps to verify the Game Files.
When I had the Penguin Problem, it helped to lower the Population. How many do you have and how big is the Enclosure?
For the Zookeeper Problem make sure that the Keeper Hut isn't too far away.
If the other Things don't work, you can also try if firing the Employees and hiring new ones will help

Thank you for your support and your suggestions. It's just great to know all of you in this forum. I will do things differently and some suggestions have already helped me.

Many climbable items will let animals pass through habitat barriers if the item's hitbox (which may be bigger than its visual impact) is colliding with the barrier, or too high above a barrier. Try moving the item slightly away from the barrier to see if it helps, and/or consider adding a null barrier further out to define the habitat, and making the visual barrier piece a "non-habitat defining" barrier to see if this helps.

-Dismissed personnel just stay and do not leave the park.

Not sure if this is exactly the same, but I've found that when I fire someone, they start moving very slowly toward the exit. They're leaving, but moping about and taking forever about it. I often end up picking them up and manually moving them to the front gate, so the distance they have to mope is decreased. (I think of this as "escorting" them out of the zoo. LOL!).

I also try my best not to fire someone while they are in a habitat, staff room, or in the middle of performing a task, since I find this sometimes causes trouble. I wait until they are wandering on a path, and fire them there.

They do seem to have fixed the vet getting stuck removing dead animals bug with the last patch. Was finally able to resolve it at a particular zoo where it was a real issue.

It seems my alligators still escape through the glass in their pool, though, to hover over the heads of the guests. It seems random how often it happens. One evening it happened several times in a row, but yesterday it didn't happen at all.

Definitely still getting some animal alerts for critters that haven't actually escaped, though. Sometimes they aren't even near the sides of their enclosures.

Something to consider...
As our zoos begin to reach the limits of our computer's abilities anomalies do start to be more frequent. Perhaps due to the extreme amount of data that must be checked each compute cycle? Or simply the programming itself can't manage that much data? I don't know but things do get sketchy as zoos get really big.

This seems to be a 'common' bug - in that many people have mentioned that aquatic animals escape through their barriers when in the water (I don't know if it happened before diving was implemented?). For whatever reason, Frontiers either hasn't been able to fix the bug or has other priorities. I don't know of any workaround, though I have found for me that it most often happens if I have a 'shared' body of water that is divided by a barrier. The system seems to prioritize that the water is a single body over the existence of the barrier.
