Build a building around coaster station

So iv watched a few videos with people building like a house type thing around the station of a roller coaster, iv tried like 10 times now and i still can't do it, and to top it off once iv clicked done on the roller coaster i can't get the menu back up, am i doing something wrong?

You can open the coaster operation menu, and there is a button to click for "edit building" which brings up the grid for the station.

Oh wait...when. You click on the coaster you don't get the menu?

Edit : to get the menu , the ride must be "closed" .

I haven't checked but normally you need to close the coaster just to edit the tracks, not the building
