Building Rep with non-controlling anarchy factions?

Ran into a brick wall, there are a few small outposts on the edge of the bubble that have Anarchy factions offering med range smuggling missions shorter than Robigo. However, they are all locked behind cordial rep and I see no way to build Rep when they don't control any stations. Is there some trick to this?

You could shoot up ships of all the other factions, I guess. This would start to redistribute the influence around. All it would take would be to trigger a war with any other faction. You can then (at least until 2.3 goes live; after that... who knows?) start to take influence off the other factions by pushing your anarchy faction in the war. Once the opponents are at 1%, the conflict will start to leech influence from the other factions. Fighting in the conflict will likely get you allied with your chosen faction anyway.

Yeah, it's annoying enough rarely being able to take missions without rep even without anarchy being taken into account too. But yeah, anarchy systems can be frustrating.

Still, it could be worse, the system could be in lockdown too... no missions available then. I've seen that in anarchy systems, and no way to help shorten the lockdown duration ...

Manipulating the BGS to put them in power is a good start, then mission running/trading and exploration data dumping with those stations once they control them should set you up in a good stead with those factions :).

OP, the way I play for now is goto to a system, transfer all my ships there and get allied with all the factions in the system. Once done I move on to another system and do the same thing. The low end factions (mafia, corte, gang etc...) are slow to get allied with but they will eventually give you enough missions.
You can speed up the process if you can except passenger, freight and combat. What I do is switch ships back and forth until the RNG gives me something.
This system does work. I have created a bubble of 18 systems all allied.

I find that I usually end up hostile with the anarchy factions wherever I do this.

But with when I want to ally with an anarchy faction, it's usually a roleplaying thing with me. So I try not to get too friendly with the other locals.

It's one of the Pleiades tiny federal outpost. It only has 2 factions, no outfitting/shipyard or anything. The Anarchy faction is in famine state so I was hoping for some donation missions but after 20+ board flips none appeared. A lot of the smuggling missions were paying 8 mil+ for 200ly deliveries.

Has anyone figured this out? I have not found any way to increase the rep of an anarchy faction above cordial, which also does not own any station within the system I am in.

I think the100thMonkey is onto something, at least for small systems. Murder the other factions ships, especially the controlling faction. At first the anarchy faction won't gain very much influence, but as its influence grows this will speed up.*
Once you get the anarchy faction above 7%, either push it up, or another faction down so they are equal. Provided neither faction is in a conflict somewhere else, they will eventually go to war. Anarchy factions never have elections, it's always war or civil war. Once the war starts, gaining reputation is easy by fighting for the anarchy faction and cashing in their combat bonds. It will take about 7.5 million in bonds to become allied.
Expect to take at least 2 weeks, and to be wanted for this whole time.

* what i'm referring to is: If you have 4 factions, A 50% (controlling faction), B 40%, C 9%, D 1%. If you knock 10% off faction A, the other factions will gain: B+8%, C+1.8%, D+0.2%. So not so great for faction D.

Do Anarchy factions ever issue bounties on npcs?

No, never.

*IF* The anarchy faction in question owns a port where you can turn in boutnies, superpower bounties of Federation, Alliance or Empire can be turned in to boost the influence and rep. Provided you can turn them in there... it will requires a relevant aligned minor faction in the system to be able to do so.

You can't boost rep with superpower bounties, only inf.
