Space gets scarce on each island the more the player progresses. It happens sometimes, at least it happened to me, that there was just not enough space to place another building at a spot because like two pixels were blocked by another building or item.
My proposal is simple, players should be able to relocate buildings after placing them. To give it a bit more realism, a money penalty could come with it, that the relocation costs like 25% of the building's original costs. Or that the costs get higher, the farther the player places it away from its original position.
