Perhaps the most ignored of the Cretaceous Pack dinosaurs, Frontier delivered us a very unique take on Dreadnoughtus. Currently, aside from boasting a semi-unique model, there is nothing unique about Dreadnoughtus except that it is another large, vertically-necked sauropod. While I do have gripes about the posture of the neck, I do understand that this is a limitation of the rig, making it use the same animations as Mamenchisaurus and Brachiosaurus (although the former has a neck posture that is much more preferable to the current).
But for a dinosaur that is supposedly 65 tons, Dreadnoughtus feels dwarfed by the slightly taller and wider Brachiosaurus. This comes off a bit bizarre to me, as Brachiosaurus is said in-game to weigh in at 60 tons, yet appears much bulkier that Dreadnoughtus. Mamenchisaurus can be excused for its slender build and longer neck giving it its 70 ton weight, but this is not so for Dreadnoughtus. Titanosaurs were notably wider than other sauropods, making up for what they lacked in height with sheer bulk. If the model were stretched along its Z-axis to be wider, I believe it might alleviate this discrepancy. Of course, it's no small task to ask Frontier to do this, but it would (in my opinion) go a long way in selling the Dreadnoughtus' design and making it more likeable. If not, I would hope that this is the case for any future titanosaurs (like Patagotitan), should any more be added.
Thank you for taking the time for reading this post; have a nice day.
