Hey there I stopped playing the alpha to wait for the release but now having a hard time getting these missions done. Almost all missions i cant complete starting off. Most of the kill mission don't give enough details on where to go. Are these the "unidentified sources" poping up? Is there something i am missing? because every mission i take i run into an issue where i cant finish it due to fuel or cargo mass limit. Such as taking a mission but not able to travel to the destination because i am 1 ly to far with mass. Any recommendations to get money, because the missions available are few.

As regards not having the range, there is a slider on the navigation panel of the galaxy map that adjusts range based on cargo mass, so you can work out if you can get places before taking on the cargo, sometimes you just have to take more than one jump.
Kill missions can be resolved at Unidentified Signal Sources, or if it pirates, traders, bounty hunters or smuggles you are after at nav points or resource extraction sites.
