Current ship is the only one with a bounty, selected by default ,guess there could be several if you are a career criminal type..
Google is not producing any useful info so for now I'm off to do something non Elite.
Next time I will just call my FC and change ships until I have time /fuel to track down an interstellar factors.
You'll get into a habit of always looking for an IF when you pick up a fine or bounty mate. Good rule to remember is they are in any low security system, although the security level can change if the controller of the system or station changes hands.
To find the security, there are two ways in-game. Firstly, plot to the system, engage the fsd and quickly read the on-screen message before disengaging it. Better still, the second is easier - pull the system map up and it will tell you on there, in the bit about con fav, population etc.
You can also use something like inara, and search for nearest. Personally I do that out of habit. If you work a regular area, you'll get used to where your local dodgy IF geezer lives.
Back to the rebuy though - now you have been squished, you'll have cleared the fine and bounties. But choose "current ship", and as Ethalden says, so long as the check box for "current loadout" (select all) is filled, you'll get your stuff back.
It might have sounded like I was taking the Mick earlier when I said about emailing support if you stuff it up, but I'm dead serious - they help people out happily for a first time mistake.
Good luck, and it's never a bad idea to chill for a while after being annoyed for a loss. I don't blame you at all for it. Take it easy mate
