Trolling Bait? Naaa... I just wanted to say that while there are pages and pages of angry notes about how this game needs to be on Steam, and then the instant call for Keys once it got on Steam, that there are many amongst the stars that don't give a wet nilly about where they go to start this game as long as its here.

Just sayin' that not everyone is gung-ho Steam. That's all.

PS - Had I known it was a kickstarter thing (I've been under rocks for a while...) I would have given money gladly.

I don't know if a new thread was necessary for this. There is already a huge thread with people discussing about E D on Steam, and another huge thread with a poll about people wanting or not a steam key, with 2000 votes cast. I personally love steam.

I don't really want to play it through STEAM to be honest... I like the launcher and the STEAM UI messes with some games. Still, nice to have it on my STEAM account and I can at least give it a recommendation.

Being on steam opens up the market even more. And as far as i know it was FD that dropped the bomb that ED would be on steam (despite saying beforehand that it would not). So FD did not have to share profit with steam, they choose to do it.

I am just happy that i will be able to have elite on steam, and i think it will lead to more sales.

Especially with no benefit for launching through Steam, no cards, no achievements (at the current time). I never understood the problem, always had the option to add non-steam game to your library.

But I don't have to use it to play this game. Plus the more profitable the game is, the more likely money will continue to flow for development.

Steam is amazing, once you use it for a while you might even see a great deal on a game you forgot you ever wanted.
There are zero downsides to Steam.
