Buy alpha, beta refund?

So being overly excited to get into the alpha, and having these two days off before going into a week of work, id really like to get into it tonight.

So if I buy the alpha at full price tonight, do you think theyll be able to refund me the initial payment i have made for the beta earlier?

Funny, as I had the same thought. They eventually got me a working discount key and I took that route, although I would be willing to bet that they'll refund you the difference. Kind of a gamble, though. You never know!

I havent got the alpha because I am patiently waiting until May 30th. However I believe that since you already have the beta you can upgrade for just £100 instead of the normal £200 but hurry because that offer is ending in just a couple of days.

I'm a bit poor at the moment, so I have to practice patience for a while. Well I do have the Mass Effect series to work through...

Yes I would be able to upgrade for 100 but for that to happen I need to get them to give me a discount manually as the automated system isnt working as intended. And that means i would have to wait until thuesday before i can get their help due to the holidays!

So im thinking, if i pay for the alpha package now, if they can refund the 100 to me at a later time?
I not, i will have payed 300. They sure deserve it, but it a bit much for me to justify just because im not patient enough =)

I had standard beta and upgraded to Alpha, paid the £200 because the refund wasn't applied. I contacted Ashley and the refund was in my account 2 days later

Ok thats good to know!
Means i can pull the trigger on alpha tonite if i cant resist, and eventually ill get the excess back.

So tempting..

I'm still toying with the idea although I'm waiting on the discount. My wife truly will kill me. 100 quid is a lot of money, if I had it there available I would totally buy into it.

It is nevertheless weird that the deduction does not automatically apply for each order for the alpha. Why the deduction is applied to some backers, and why not for others ? Really weird

It did apply for me when I had a look a couple of months ago but wouldn't apply when I actually went to buy it last week. They must have changed something since then.

They could be in tomorrow as they sent me my discount code on Friday even though it's also a bank holiday.

Mine still has no idea, and as long as she doesn't check my PayPal account, she never will! ;)
