Buy-back screen is bugged

for an annnoying reason I died, which is frustrating, but I should have enough money, with the loan, to buy it back without having to start the entire game again which you can clearly see in the screenshot below. However, it won't let me press purchase. I have a support ticket open, but they are taking their time responding.

Does anyone have a suggestion on how to get it too work?

Thanks in advance.

Not really sure what that screen says, but:
1. try select check box "select all" there
2. you must had rebuy (5% of ship cost + any fees/bounties) prior dead, then you can rebuy.

I think "initial balance" says you have 62000 and rebuy needed is 7.5 mil.
I.e. "never fly without rebuy".

You've messed up. As above, you need 7.5 million and you only have 62.7 thousand.

By the time they sort out your ticket, you could sort it out yourself. 20 mins in the high RES helping the police kill the bad guys using the Sidewinder will get you enough for a T6, which you can use for Robigo passenger missions to get 60 mil plus an hour. It takes about 90 mins to get to Robigo using Road to Riches, so 5 hours total.

Money is so easy to get now that there's no excuse for being in your situation. You could have waited 'til you had 400 million before buying the Anaconda, then you could have fitted it out properly. A 146 million Anaconda, like you had, is a death trap. I'm not surprised at all that you lost it. I'm not unsympathetic. I feel your pain. It's lack of knowledge that caused your problem. Luckily, you came to the right place to get sorted out.

Don't be in a hurry to buy new ships. Plan the ideal build first for the task you want to do, then wait until you have maybe 1.5 times that amount before buying it. As well as the very lucrative Robigo missions, a beginner can make an easy 30 mil per hour mining in a T6, 30 mil per hour scanning planets in a Hauler, 15 mil per hour RES farming with a DBS, and many other ways to get cash if you want to get better ships, so there's no excuse these days.

As well as the direct task of the ship, you need to think about how you're going to deal with risks. Can it escape from an interdiction. It can be difficult to win the mini-game in an Anaconda, so you need to use the submit and boost method with 4 pips to engines and two to shields. For that, you need the best thrusters and power distributor you can get. The standard E-rated ones will leave you a sitting duck.

This should be the starting point for your Anaconda. It costs 250 mil. Don't think that you're going to be able to fit weapons and go into battle with it. You need engineering for that, otherwise you'll get blown up by the first ship unles you go to a low RES to kill harmless Cobras, etc:

If you tell us what you want to do - combat, mining, hauling, mission type, exploration, etc, we can show you how to be successful. I'm gussing from your HRPs that you were thinking about combat, but that was never going to work in that ship.

I'm not familiar with how the insurance 'loan' works, never had cause to use it.
A lot of the responses seem to be ignoring it. Having read the Wiki link below, it does seem like something has gone wrong, unless I'm missing something.

I'm betting the OP wasn't expecting to rely on a loan, so they broken the fly/rebuy law. Which as we all know is a crime punishable by death ;)

( I would never trust that loan as most of the grumbles about rebuy seem associated with it. Seemingly for a reason :ROFLMAO: )

Was there something like "hull" a the top of the list of modules to rebuy?

Hmmm... you may be on to something here. An off-the-shelf, E-rated, completely stripped of everything but the core modules Anaconda should have (according to Coriolis, without discounts) a rebuy of 7,312,741 Cr.. OP's screenshot claims 7,312,335 Cr..
Might just be that OP's selected configuration isn't viable.

You have to be at least Deadly, Tycoon or Pioneer to get a 7.5 mil loan. Morvran has been playing two weeks, so deadly is out. Other two are possible, but not very likely because you need to trade 390 mil for Tycoon and I think it's about 250 mil for Pioneer. Either way, he probably would have had 100 mil spare for the rebuy.

I'm not sure how the rebuy screen works. Lets say he had a 300mil Anaconda, Pioneer rank and no cash. Does the rebuy offer you a stripped down version of your ship that you can afford with the loan?

Morvran, what ranks are you?

Cool didn't know about loan :) Never flied without rebuy yet.

Good info! Any source with more details on rank vs amount please? Cheers

Off the top of my head, No idea, but fairly high, got over 300 hours, fairly certain I have tycoon. Did have a mid to high spec Annaconda, but got bored and stopped playing for a while. When I came back with some IRL firends I switched between a few ships and played those for a while before deciding to go back up to it. So that's why its low spec and my funds are low. Also new to engineering and spent a lot trying out different weapon combos, configs, roles, etc.

What I was doing was low risk, and to be honest, I died prehaps because of 2 bugs and/or something very... wierd, was doing a wing pirate hunt. Saw a "Wanted" & "Mission target" target being attacked by a dozen security forces, fired off 1 shot before he died but I got a bounty for some reason, which lead to damage from security forces. So went to land on a planet base to pay bounty. On approach like i've done a thousand times when I start falling to the ground for no reason, max engine full boost straight up wouldn't stop my decent and I bounce across the floor a dozen times and died.

As for the loan stuff. It says I recieve 7.5mil, it says my final balance is positive. Therefore, it should allow me to rebuy. I don't know why it would say that I had 7.5 mil loan if I didn't and I don't understand why it says I would have a positive balance if I didn't. That's why i'm most confused. if it said nope. then nope, but it does say yes.

Also just checked. only items in that list are hard points, utility mounts and optionals, no core. so again, no reason why that's not working. Not my first time i've died (I know loans need paying back first but was a while ago so should have been paid of a dozen times now) and I didn't have to have any selected.

Also as for not enough money, would have handed in and recieved about 30mil for the mission without taking any damage if it hadn't been for the random bounty I mentioned before.

You seem very vaugue about everything. Why don't you know your ranks? They're in the left panel. Your death was probably because you had poor thrusters and tried to land on a high-G planet. That's not a bug.

Regarding your bounty, everything is recorded in your log files with time-stamps, so you can see exactly what you did to get it. Also, all details of your Anaconda are there if you want to check what thrusters you had and so are the details of the planet, so you can check the G.

None of these things should be a mystery. all details are recorded, and there's nearly always a logical explanation.

If you had a loan before and didn't pay it off, you wouldn't get the 7.5 mil one.

How do you view ranks and stuff from the main menu? The point is, I don't want to do anything at the moment, I can't buy the ship, so stuck on the buy back screen.

One would think you'd know what rank you were in each of the 4 categories

Register on inara.cz with frontier account and import game data. Web site will show even more info then a game. Like you can search all your fleet for modules, check cargo etc.

Why? I have no idea what ranks I am currently, unless actively working on increasing one of them to unlock something. Its just not something I need to keep track of otherwise.
