Newcomer / Intro Buy into Beta

Thought I would post this in Newcomer's so I don't get flamed too badly, but I thought I read somewhere that the non-backers, non-beta unwashed masses could buy into beta. Anyone know if this is true?

It is not. I doubt the option will become available until they do not have enough of the original beta backers to test new builds.

Frontier have said that they will think about it but we've heard nothing since.

I think it would be a great side bonus to the top contributor(s) on community goals or other things.

Would make a lot more people contribute.
