Buy ship-components for storage

I am currently on my way to Prof.Palin in my iCutter to get my thrusters gently touched, and since I am a trueborn FED, I really would have loved to go there with some other ship. But the iCutter is the only ship
that needs an A8 rated thruster, so any other ship cant equip it and hence cant modify it @ Palin's. What also pains me is that in order to get all my ships upgraded, I buy all needed components at Jameson Memorial and let them get shipped to the engineer. But in order to buy those components, my current ship needs to be able to also equip it right away!? So on the one hand, I cant buy a class 8 thrusters unless I'm in my iCutter, and I ALSO cant buy any grade 6 or less graded thrusters since those dont support the incredible mass of the cutter (and also prevents me from modifying in an iCutter, since I cant equip them and select as to be modified).

So 1) please make us able to buy whatever we want in whatever ship we are currently in, if the module doesnt fit, just send it into storage.
And 2) please make us able to modify components that are currently in storage (of course they still need to be at the proper station).

Thanks for reading all that text, and whoever spots mistakes may keep 'em :D

Just learned the hard way that there is no shipyard in Maia, so it would have been waaay more convenient if I were able to modify modules in storage. Now I have to go first trip in iCutter for thrusters with grade 8, 7 and 6, a second trip with ASP for grade 5 and 4, and third trip with Eagle (only doable with good FSD range increase); because just as the cutter cant fit anything lower than class 6, the ASP or even Vulture cant fit grade 3. SAD!

You can take a handful of ships to Maia to modify your entire fleet. As you've said, the cutter can hold 6-8. I believe a Vulture can hold 4-5 and an iCourier can do 2-3.

During the CG for building Obsidian Orbital, there was a goal to build a shipyard that was never reached. We're all just dealing with that now.

I still think that the PRE/MEF should hold their own CG for planetary shipyards.

Maia isn't exactly far away. I don't think visiting Palin three times to be able to engineer thrusters for every ship in the game is too big of an ask.

It wasn't long ago that we didn't have module storage at all and modding modules in bulk wasn't an option, you had to actually visit each engineer in each ship.

Thats true :) Maybe I've just become too acustomed to the ongoing trend of easymaking.. first no commodities needed for engineers, now galaxywide telepresence... But I definetely wont ask for a combat-computer >.<

I think I get a small brain haemorrhage these days every time I read the word convenient. Hmm.... Nice word,actually.. But what it does imply as in convenience store and as used in the forums is NOT exactly the same, I have concluded.
A convenience store is a store tha often is open when others are not, exampelwise.
On the other hand when used about The Game it is to identify something that a player DOES NOT want to do, they can, but would rather not...Hmmm.

They would rather not...
Why ?
Its boring! It takes too long time! its a grind! We dont like it!
OK, OK but you can, amirite ?
Weeeelll, technically, theoretically, yes!
But you are to fragging lazy too do it ?
That is a very harsh way of putting it!
No its not! You can do it , but you would rather not, so unless it is against your Faith, it is because you are lazy!
I'm not lazy, but It is a grind!
It is not a grind to fly 192 LY a couple of times, or three!
I did not mean it that way exactly!
What way did you exactly mean it?
.....The Sound of Silence

This is an example of a conversation I could have had with my pre teen girls, about keeping their room tidy or any other of the few chores they have :) I have substituted a few words here and there, to fit it in here in the right context :)
The similarities are amazing. :D

Cheers Cmdr's
