Buying a 1080!

I have ordered an Asus Strix oc 1080 from Overclockers for £619.99, same price as the founders edition. I notice today the price has gone up on the site to £659.99. The price on Scan is still £619.99. If you are hovering about to buy one, this info may be useful!
:)
Ps I have no affiliations with anyone!

£659.00 inc VAT on Scan now too. Rip off for a third party cooler when OcUK are selling a (probably crappy) third party cooler option for £525 - means Asus are valuing their cooler at least at £134!

Even manages to make the MSI Sea hawk look good value at only £20 more for a hybrid air/water cooler.

Wow, that was quick, glad I got my order in, it's the max I would pay anyway.
Too much demand at present I suppose, a sellers market!

Am I right in assuming that they will honour the sale at the lower price and cant't come onto me for the higher price?

I ordered the MSI GTX 1080 Gaming. Kinda looking forward to maxing out VR to ultra and SS to 2. I have high hopes. Very high hopes.

Yep. I'm getting the one with waterblock on from OCUK. Cost is high, but I honestly can't wait any longer for my upgrade. I'm sure my wallet will regret it in a month's time when EVGA put out their factory OC model with waterblock for £100 less, but I've been waiting 3 years to do this upgrade and enough is enough.

I ordered an ASUS GTX 1080 STRIX a few days ago from OCUK. I too noticed the price hike and delay. Anyone know if the orders at the original price will be honored? I'm not too bothered about the slight delay.

I have ordered the Inno3D 4x from OCUK. Monies have been taken on the pre-order as per T&C's even if the price changes.
Confirmed also, there is a delay on them arriving and being shipped.

Shame, can't wait to up my pixel count on the CV1 from 1.5 to 2.0 as my 980 struggles a little on the higher setting.

WEll they take the cash roght away on preorders, so presumably you paid a few days ago and there's therefore nothing to honour as it were, besides them sticking it in a box and sending it to you.

Unless you used the Amazon payments, I think they charge you on shipping with that.

Yep. They should have placed a hold on the card.

Aye, I mean I ordered 30th May and got this email on 30th May...

Paymentstatus of your order from 30 May 2016 12:48:24
Dear Cmdr Britain (triple Elite),

Your payment status for your order has changed to "Fully paid".
Your order has been paid and you will receive your goods soon.

To check the current status of your order you can always visit our website under "My Account" - "My Orders".

So well at least in my case it's at the lower price.

Well now delayed again, due in on the 17th.

Overclockers tell me there's a huge shortage at Nvidia side, all card manufacturers are struggling to get stock.

Another week my new computer sits there unused. :(

Just had the bad news confirmed by OCUK as well... ah another week.. with the sun shining outside I'm tempted to cancel and buy a Kayak then revisit the 1080 at the end of the summer...

i still thinking of buying myself 2 of those 1080's.. but i really want a Vive first.

at the moment i run dual Titan X, both hybrid cooled.. anyone experiance with Titans in SLI and VR?

SLI and VR do not mix well to be honest. I think you would find yourself disabling one card in order to play VR, that's how it is for me with my 2 980s.
