Buying and selling Commodities too slow

Since the April 23 patch the process of buying and selling commodities is painfully slow, the amount of time it now takes to actually load 700+ units into cargo is crazy, I like the new interface that is much cleaner but can you make the speed ramp up like before instead of counting by ones the whole time? Or is there some way of doing it faster that I am unaware of?

LMB is unusable and arrow keys are still slower than pre-patch.

If i may have a suggestion to solve this actual design flaw: Amount box that you could type specific number into and be done with your transaction in half a second.

Very surprised that this wasn't flagged before release! Did anyone play test this? Obvious annoyance to anyone with substantial cargo space to fill. Either speed it up or as suggested: a box to enter a value. Simples...

No Joke.
Its a Blank Horror to now Load 800 Tons of Cargo into a Cutter...
Because your either Clicking like a Maniac or sit there watching a Counter forever by using the Arrow Keys....

To be honest, this sort of obvious nonsense annoys the f** out of me. On the basis of "if it isn't broken, then don't fix it" Frontier do that anyway...and break stuff. I just don't understand the mentality. Fair enough, a bug creeps in and that is unforseen, but this is designed to be this way (?!).

Can't be bothered to play until it's sorted out, I have better things to do!

Trade window too SLOW ever tried filling up a type 10 with its massie hold having to click my mouse button over 600+ time just to speed up the speed.

I do hope they fix this very soon !!!!!

Just use the arrow keys for now - much faster. I tried it with mouse, it is really slow. Left/Right arrow should work.

It's these kinds of brain dead, idyll minded, and ridiculous oversights that annoy the hell out of me in this game. "Sure, let's give players the ability to fill a large ship with hundreds of tonnes of cargo, but only allow them to fill it one tonne at a time via one mouse click or arrow click at a time." It's hard to believe nobody thought of a "SELL ALL" button or interface that allows us to enter a tonnage to buy, sell, trade, etc.

It's like a passenger plane crash. It's never one thing that brings that plane down. It's a series of events, mistakes, or oversights that ultimately leads to a catastrophe.

I digress.....

I love the new Trader screens. REALLY like them. But then I have load goods bound to the top toggle on my TM1600, takes about 5 seconds to buy 600+ Tons?

I can imagine it completely imbibes on other platforms.

I fully agree - this has been an issue for me since the game launched - and it's gone overlooked for the whole time! So many other games have this simple bit of UI refinement, it's almost everywhere you look. How did this escape their notice for so long? How they can profess to "Reworking the trading system" is beyond me. What trading really needed was "buy max", "sell all" and "Buy amount" buttons - like virtually every other game that deals with items/units in numbers over 10. I'd expect this sort of oversight from a new developer with no previous experience and no knowledge of other games, but this.... It's a bit pathetic to be honest. I don't even trade, I only ever buy or transfer cargo for the engineers and this has been frustrating for me. Even through this minor amount of interaction I can empathise with pure traders who would be routinely loading hundreds of tonnes (and it pains me to think about it), why can't the devs?

Another thing I just noticed: it merrily lets you try to buy more of a commodity than the station actually has. Net result:
  • Does it stop you from selecting more? No.
  • Does it just buy everything the station has regardless of the quantity chosen? No.
  • Does it just reset the process wasting more of your time? Of course it does.
And if anyone from Frontier is reading this, the reason this annoys your customers is because these sorts of things are simple, obvious and ubiquitous in the industry and yet you miss them. It's like making a kettle and forgetting the lid. You are ignoring design features in your product that virtually every single competitior has used for decades.

I agree too ! Actualy i'm repairing gooch ring station in Ariatia sytem, now it s totaly a pain to buy and sell , i'm wasting to much time do to this !
Result , i stop playing because this game is going to be a real pain, after the targoid invasion and this update ! gg
720 T to refill take a very long time !

Yep, me too. Couldn't believe there wasn't a short cut to dump/fill all cargo holds. Pre-patch behaviour was perfect - please re-instate accelerating increments.

Can anyone tell me if the link to the issue in the issue tracker posted above should be working? When I try to follow the link, I get the message "The issue could not be loaded." .

If you are a pc gamer then you should use your keybord for buying and selling commodities. The mouse controls are unusable atm.
I presume this is a bug.

Oh my god Frontier WHY WHY WHY..... you made it worse.... so much slower.... i want to claw my eyes out.... and where is the Buy All & Sell All buttons we've been BEGGING for for YEARS.....
