Buying new refinery deletes bin content

Just bought a new mining refinery, however it resulted in the Palladium (90+%) in my previous one to be deleted. I really don't think this should happen ha. There are a few quality of life improvements mining needs in my opinion:

A tractor beam (1300 years in the future and a cargo scoop is the best humanity can do? Unlikely :p)
Scanners to find out what's in a rock before mining it
Maybe more profitability with the less expensive minerals and metals? How about the ability to use them in upgrades?
The ability to tag previously scanned/mined rocks, and to keep a tag on the rock you're currently mining in case you have to zip away for some reason

This isn't a complaint, just a few things I think need to be added. Mining is actually profitable if you do it right (metallic planetary ring ftw) it's just a little painful haha, very scenic though!

Not sure why you don't think it makes sense that if you sell a refinery with something in it that it's gone. I suppose they could rationalize transferring a bin to the new refinery, but they could also say that bins are built in and can't be transferred. Personally, I would have assumed that an unfinished good was lost on sale. I wouldn't be against them making it so it transferred but I doubt it would even be close to a priority.

Everything else has been suggested many times in other threads except for profitability. It's all profit, there's only a time cost. Unlike trading, it can be worth it to pick up and sell lower yielding materials. In fact, it's probably better to do so time wise since finding higher end materials can be quite random.
